Recycled bath(tub) furniture

In a quest to become more modern, we often replace the old with the new. This can ultimately mean more trash, and more "donations" to our landfills. What if we could repurpose the most unthinkable objects into new furnishings?

Ruff House Art has taken a simple cast iron bathtub and turned it into a cool, vintage piece of furniture. "The idea came to me as I was trying to come up with unique pieces of furniture for our 'retro' game room," says Jill Morrison, owner of Ruff House Art. "I saw a picture of something similar ain a high end design magazine and thought- I can make that! Alas, our 'Breakfast at Tiffany's' inspired couch was created!"
